Ready for School receives city's Justice Award

On January 18, Ready for School was honored to accept the City of Holland's Social Justice Award for Education.  Pat VerDuin and Janet DeYoung of the Community Foundation of the Holland/Zeeland Area accepted the award given by the Human Relations Commission. Recognition of this nature, serves as further validation that our community values early childhood education. This award recognizes the work of the hundreds of volunteers, from every sector of the community who have come together to make all of our community's children a priority by giving them the best start to their education. Thank You!

Ready for School was the beneficiary of the December gifts from Women Who Care.  Women Who Care is a gathering of women who meet quarterly to support local nonprofit organizations. Ready for School received $23,400 for the Kinder Camp program!  This allowed us to expand the program from 13 classrooms in 2011 to 46 classrooms in 2012.  Read more about Women Who Care and their gift.
