Being Ready for School begins at birth. Infants are hardwired to learn before they are born. Advances in neurological science clearly document the rapid brain development in young children, with 90% of brain growth occurring before age 5. This becomes the foundation for language, social behavior, problem solving and emotional health.
In order to best equip our community's children with skills for school and life, they must be exposed to quality learning and growth experiences as children, toddlers and preschoolers.
A Community Invested
Parents have shared they turn to trusted individuals and institutions for information regarding early childhood. We recognized that each child's gifts, past and present experiences and culture all contribute to a child's success. Parents, schools and the community are partners on the road to school success.
