Outdoor Adventures: A Summer Parks Program

Outdoor Discovery Center Nature Preserve
Families will explore each of these sites and participate in a hands-on activity. These activities will assist families in connecting with the wildlife and habitats at each of these locations.
Free sack lunches will be provided for children under the age of 18. Adult lunches can be purchased for $3.00.

Training for Licensed Home Based Childcare Providers
Christ Memorial Church
May 20 - July 22, Each Thursday, 9:00 -11:00 a.m.
This nine week training is designed exclusively for the licensed, home based childcare provider in Holland/Zeeland.
Providers will receive credit for training hours required for licensing. Free child care will be provided; limited to the first 30.
Curriculum topics include; child growth & development, children's typical behavior, brain development, confidence in their role as provider, setting limits for children, helping children learn, responding to upset children, and keeping children safe and healthy. Using a classroom style, providers will be given an opportunity to form relationships with other providers in an effort to establish networks for ongoing peer-to-peer learning.
